- The business was founded in
Bath by Andrew James Dando in about 1915 and continued by
his son Gordon who became one of the leading provincial
ceramics dealers. Now in the third generation the shop
has been run since 1993 by Andrew Dando and his wife
Janice, and displays a large selection of antique pottery
& porcelain dating from 1700 to about 1870, with a
price range of £20 to £ 10,000.
- During August 2002 the business
was moved to new premises in the centre of Bradford on
Avon, just 7 miles from Bath, but without the parking and
traffic problems associated with Bath.
Andrew trained with his father
Gordon for 15 years and now serves on the vetting committees
of many of the leading Antiques Fairs in the UK, including :
Olympia (June & November), and is currently
Chairman of Ceramic Vetting at the NEC Birmingham 'Antiques
for Everyone' fairs.
- Members of the British Antique
Dealers Association
(BADA) since the mid 1950's (both Gordon & Andrew
have served as regional representative), the business has
always been run to high standards of integrity and
all items are fully
guaranteed in both
authenticity and condition.
